Centrora Security 6.4 – save massive server space with Git backup

In Blog

With the new version 6.4, Git backup provides the best ever experience on the website backup and restoration. The backup function becomes stable and efficient since this version. Some new features with Git Backup were released as well to make it easer to use and more helpful, for instance, the ability of define the custom commit title and the file changes tracking function.

Super fast, efficient, and reliable, the technology with Git, which brings us many miracles, strives to provide the best solution for the object. Compared to the traditional backup methods, the technology with Git has 4 significant advantages.
1. Efficient in resource consumption. Git only tracks the changes. So only changes will be committed to the last backup package and it records the complete history. As the result, after the first time initialization, it takes much less space and saves a lot of time in a new backup.
2. Super fast in rollback. With the Git method, just one click can resolve all the issues and it could just take 30 seconds because it only rollbacks the changed contents from the previous website version.
3. Easy to track the differences. Git is designed to have a complete history and full version tracking abilities. It will be as easy as pie to track all changes files and detailed codes on the website.
4. Unlimited space when uploading the backup to Cloud. Space consideration is not a problem for the Cloud upload with Git solution. With the Bitbucket free service, we can create unlimited repositories, Git work directories, and each repository offers 2GB space.

In the new version 6.4, the major features include:
1. Backup folder by folder to imrpove the stability;
2. Better performance for large files and websites;
3. Current backup version download;
4. Full file change list between different backup versions;
5. Faster upload to Cloud.
